Based on the conviction that ballet can be an instrument of hope, healing and joy, Los Angeles Ballet is dedicated to sharing its gifts with the broadest possible audience and in particular, distressed communities.

POP! (The Power of Performance)
One performance can change a life. Seeing a professional ballet for the first time has for many been an eye-opening and uplifting experience, one that can lead to a lifelong appreciation of the arts or even a career! It is the mandate of Los Angeles Ballet to remove the barriers that stand between dance and distressed communities by providing tickets, transportation and the opportunity to meet the artists of the Company.

The Chance to Dance
Los Angeles Ballet believes that the chance to dance gives at-risk children and teens:

Los Angeles Ballet targets its efforts to reach at-risk children and teens through elementary schools, middle schools and high schools. We work with sponsors to create "adopt-a-school" programs in order to extend the benefits of ballet as widely as possible. In addition, Los Angeles Ballet teaches after-school dance classes and provides fundraising support for two wonderful organizations, A Place Called Home, and Everybody Dance!

As a result of these programs, highly motivated and talented youth who would not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue serious ballet training will be identified and recommended for advancement.
