Los Angeles Ballet is delighted to introduce Southern California audiences to this charming, full-length story ballet. Set in a fantastical Scottish surround, La Sylphide is one of the world’s oldest surviving Romantic ballets and one of the least performed. A two-act tour de force, La Sylphide has all the elements of compelling Romantic storytelling: unrequited love, death, betrayal, flying sylphs, witches, magic and more.
