2023/2024 Season
This season marks the full inaugural season of LAB’s Artistic Director Melissa Barak featuring works by master choreographers Justin Peck and Hans van Manen, and another world premiere by Barak. Also featured are exciting works by Yuri Possokhov and George Balanchine. And, LA's holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Plus, a new venue!

Firebird Possokhov | Stravinsky
Serenade Balanchine | Tchaikovsky
Firebird is both visually and musically dazzling. Audiences of all ages will no doubt enjoy this sensational ballet fairytale. Serenade is a milestone in the history of dance, reflecting the ebb and flow of the ballet choreographic process with a sweeping score filled with romanticism and hints at classical ballet scores such as Giselle and Swan Lake.

The Nutcracker is LA’s holiday tradition, essential for celebrating the season. Clara and her Nutcracker battle a most memorable Mouse King, encounter dancing Snowflakes, and travel to the Palace of the Dolls. New this season are performances at Pasadena Civic Auditorium!
