Los Angeles Ballet’s Swan Lake Gala 2012, which netted over $350,000 for LAB, was held on March 25th at the Montage Beverly Hills. Home / News / New Item LAB Swan Lake Gala 2012 May 1, 2012 Company News from the Staff at LAB Los Angeles Ballet’s Swan Lake Gala 2012, which netted over $350,000 for LAB, was held on March 25th at the Montage Beverly Hills. With event design by Billy Bushkavitz, the Marquesa Ballroom transformed into a black and white celebration of Swan Lake, enhanced by guests who, by invitation request, had dressed in matching attire. The evening included an intimate performance of excerpts from Swan Lake, on a stage specially constructed for the event. The LAB dancers were later welcomed into the ballroom with a standing ovation and joined in a gourmet dinner of filet mignon and herb crusted halibut, with wines provided by Hafner Vineyard and Malibu Milk Vineyards. Celebrated sportscaster Jim Gray conducted a live auction for the Dancer Sponsorship and Pointe Shoe Funds. Each guest received a Jay Strongwater picture frame, graciously provided by Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills.

The audition submission should begin with a short technical demonstration at the barre and center. At the barre the student must include plies, tendues, ronde de jambe, passé and adagio developpe en croix. In the center the dancers must include adagio, pirouettes, petite and grand allegro.  Apply for an Audition / 2026/2027 Season Company and Trainee Auditions Audition Date: Saturday, February 7th, 2026. 12pm – 2pm Place: Los Angeles Ballet Studios Los Angeles Ballet is seeking strong, classically trained dancers for the 26/27 Season. You must submit the requested materials to receive an invitation from the company to attend the audition. Please submit a resume, headshot, and full-body dance shot. You will be notified via email of your invitation to attend the audition. Video is acceptable if you are unable to come in person. Video footage must be recent (in the last 3 months) and include the following: Barre – fast tendus, fondus Center – Adagio, pirouettes, petit allegro, grand allegro Performance footage Do not arrive for the audition unless you have received an invitation from Los Angeles Ballet. Please also include a classical variation, (on pointe for women) one to two minutes in length. If the dancer does not have a variation prepared, please include a pointe combination for ladies and a combination with jumps (both double tour en l’air and saut de basque) for men. A contemporary solo may also be submitted, but is not a requirement Girls should wear a black leotard and either pink ballet shoes with pink tights or flesh-toned ballet shoes and tights. Boys should wear tights, shoes, and a fitted shirt light-colored preferably in a light color (white or grey) or contrasting color to the surrounding environment. Cassidy Cocke Hometown Dallas, TX Seasons with LAB 5 Seasons with LAB Cassidy trained at Dallas Ballet Center and Mejia Ballet International before joining the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet. She joined the Los Angeles Ballet in 2021, where she has performed featured roles such as Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Christopher Wheeldon’s Ghosts , Justin Peck’s Belles-Lettres , and a Stepsister in Cinderella. When she’s not dancing, Cassidy works in fashion publishing, coordinating editorial productions for BASIC and Schön! Magazine.

Natalia Burns Hometown Orange County, CA Seasons with LAB 3 Season with LAB Natalia began her pre-professional training at Westside School of Ballet. She then went on to attend summer intensives at Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Chautauqua Dance Institution, and Jacob’s Pillow on scholarship. In 2021, Natalia joined the Professional Division at Pacific Northwest Ballet, where her repertoire included works by Crystal Pite, George Balanchine, and Kent Stowell. In 2023, Natalia joined the Los Angeles Ballet. Her repertoire has included works by Melissa Barak, Hans Van Manen, Yuri Possokhov, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Stanton Welch, Edward Liang, and Alexei Ratmansky. Natalia is a National YoungArts Award Winner in Dance.

Home / News / New Item 2014/2015 Season Announced June 1, 2014 Company News from the Staff at LAB Los Angeles Ballet is excited to unveil LAB’s 2014/2015 season, which includes the Tchaikovsky Trilogy, with three full-length ballets featuring the music of Peter Tchaikovsky, plus a mixed bill program of contemporary masterworks. Swan Lake will open the season in October 2014, followed by LAB's acclaimed production of The Nutcracker. Closing out the Tchaikovsky Trilogy in February/March 2015 will be The Sleeping Beauty, a World Premiere choreographed by LAB Co-Artistic Directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary. In May/June 2015, Christensen and Neary will present Directors' Choice, contemporary and classical pieces to challenge and delight dancers and audience alike, including Balanchine's Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2.
